The bunad silver you need is:
- Heart brooch with cross-leaf in the neck
- Dish Brooch
- Eyelets (most common is to use 3 pairs)
- A tightening band / eyelet band to lace your waist with
- Purse clasp
- Cufflinks
- Shawl attachment
- Plaque belt with silver belt plaques featuring an ash tree pattern
- In addition, you can wear a bunad knife, bunad ring, earrings or lady of the house key

The idea of a separate bunad for Askøy was launched after a conference in 1939. For the light-colored bunad, light-colored and gilded bunad silver is used.
