The bunad silver you need is:
- Neck pin
- Cufflinks
- 14 buttons for the jacket
- 10 buttons for the vest
- 6 buttons for the breeches (check with your tailor for the exact number)
- One pair of knee buckles
- Shoe buckles, a knife and a watch with a watch chain complete the bunad
The men's bunad from Bardu/Målselv is based on various costume habits from immigrants moving to the area. The coat is black and fairly simple with a standing collar. The vest has a red plaid front and both short breeches and long trousers are worn with the bunad. The shirt is plain white without embroidery.
