Numedalsbunad lady Skjælingskleda
The bunad silver you need is:
- 10-12 buttons for waist
- Neck ring/brooch
- Preferably a dish brooch for the shirt if you have room
- Cufflinks
- 2 silver buttons for the sleeve split on the coat
- Shirt buckles if you want to use them instead of hidden hooks on the shirt
Skjælingskleda from Numedal is based on the bunad custom in Upper Numedal in the second half of the 19th century. The "Skjælings" are the stiffened corrugated or wave-shaped edge in the back of the waist and shirt.
