Østerdalsbunad men
The bunad silver you need is:
- Cufflinks
- Neck pin/neck button and/or horn ring
- 10 large buttons for the coat
- 2-4 small buttons for the coat
- 6 buttons for the breeches
- One pair of knee buckles
- Shoe buckles, bunad knife and watch with a watch chain complete the bunad
Brass buttons were most often used on this bunad, but you can also use silver buttons if you wish.
The men's bunad from Østerdal has has collected much praise. Some parts are exact reconstructions of old garments used in the mid-1800s. This beautiful bunad was made in the early 1980s and continues the costume tradition from the district.
