Sunnmørsbunad men
The bunad silver you need is:
- Neck button/neck pin
- Cufflinks
- One pair of knee buckles
- 16-18 buttons for the breeches (check with your tailor for the exact number)
- 20 buttons for the coat
- 18 buttons for the vest
- Shoe buckles, a bunad knife and watch with a watch chain complete the bunad
The men's Sunnmørsbunad came into use in the early 1900s. The coat and knee breeches are made of black wool. The trousers can be worn with suspenders that fasten with buttons. The vest is made of red wool with the familiar cut on the front. The white linen shirt is decorated with counted stitching. Stockings with ribbons, hat and neckerchief are also included.
