Vest-Agderbunad men
The bunad silver and silver buttons you need are:
- Neck button
- Horn ring or fastener (sprette/sprode)
- 12 large buttons for the coat
- 6 small buttons for the sleeves of the coat
- 6 small buttons for the vest
- 6 small buttons for knee lining
- 5 flat buttons for the waistband
- One pair of knee buckles
- Shoe buckles, bunad knife and watch with a watch chain complete the bunad
The Vest-Agder man's tunic as we know it today dates back to the 1820s.
The trousers and shirt (jacket) are black with green cuffs, collar and knee patches.
The waistcoat is usually striped black/red.
