Austevollbunad men
The bunad silver you need is:
- 19-21 small buttons (ask your tailor for the exact number)
- 18 medium-sized buttons
- Cufflinks
- Neck button
- One pair of knee buckles
- Needle to wear on your chest
- Shoe buckles, a knife and a watch with a watch chain complete the bunad
The men's tunic from Austevoll has a black or dark blue sweater in wadding.
The waistcoat is green with red and yellow stitching in the buttonholes.
The knee breeches are the same color as the shirt and have no waistband but a flap that buttons in the front.
The shirt is white with white decorative stitching at the neck and on the sleeves.
A shirt with a high fold-down collar is also used, but without decorative stitching.
The belt and suspenders are embroidered with wool yarn and beads or only with wool.
