Grafferbunad lady
The bunad silver you need:
- Neck brooch or Gudbrandsdal button
- Dish Brooch or heart brooch
- Cufflinks
- Purse clasp
- Plaque belts with silver plaques if you wish
- In addition, you can have a bunad knife, bunad ring, earrings
The Grafferbunad is based on an embroidered skirt from the Graffer farm in Lom. It probably dates from the end of the 18th century, when it was worn with a loose skirt or coat. Then, at some point, it was sewn together with a newer type of waist. It was this newer bunad custom with a sewn-together bodice and skirt that became the starting point for the shape of the Grafferbunad.
