The very first Gudbrandsdalsbunad had a green waist and a blue wool skirt. Both the waist and a black piece of fabric at the bottom of the skirt was embroidered. There was also embroidery on the apron. Then, for a while, the bodice and skirt were made from the same fabric and without an apron, but with embroidery up the skirt instead. Today, all variants exist, and all are still in production.
