The bunad silver you need:
- Neck brooch
- Cufflinks
- 10 buttons for double-breasted vest or 6 buttons for single-breasted vest
- 5 buttons for long trousers or 11 buttons for knee-length trousers
- Knee buckles
- 16 buttons for short coat or 16 buttons for long coat
- Shoe buckles, a bunad knife and a pocket watch complete the bunad
The men's bunads from Gudbrandsdalen are made in several versions. The bunads that went into production in 1962 have three variations of jackets. A black or white half-length coat and a black shorter coat. A detailed reconstruction from the early 1800s exists as well. There are also two types of vests, single-breasted (one row of buttons) and double-breasted (two rows of buttons). Both short and long trousers are worn with the bunad.
