Dish Brooch No. 85 gilded of old model from Ågedal with open barrel

This large and beautiful bunadsølja is based on an old bunadsølje from the Ågedal farm in Vest-Agder.
The bunadsølja model dates from 1771 and has a 7.4 cm cast gold-plated rose brooch base.
The special thing about this old model is that it has a loose barrel to attach to the shirt instead of a needle on the back.
It also has a large gilded bowl of 32 mm in the center, and 6 gilded bowls in the outer edge of 26 mm.
