Gudbrandsdal button

Gudbrandsdalsknapp ("dingsilknapp" or "dingsleknapp" as it is also called in some places) consists of a "button" with filigree pendants of varying length and size. The Gudbrandsdal button may well have originated in a neck button that was extra ornate with pendants. It is not uncommon for bunad silver to be decorated as much as one could afford.
