Numedalsbunad men's round coat
The bunad silver you need is:
- Neck button or cross tooth fastener
- Cufflinks
- 12 silver buttons for the coat
- 10-12 silver buttons for the vest
- 5 buttons for the flap in your trousers (here you can choose whether you want silver or brass buttons. If you have a fly, you only need one button)
- Shoe buckles, a bunad knife and watch with a watch chain complete the bunad
The round coat from Numedal was introduced in the mid-19th century when a darker bunad was desired. The entire bunad is made of black or blue cloth, but the trousers are also made of wool fabric. The vest has a double row of buttons at the front. The coat has a row of buttons on each side that traces the lapels.
