The bunad from Fusa is based on costume material from the early 1800s and is one of the most colorful in the country. The bunad varies slightly in appearance depending on the occasion for which it is worn. White aprons with belts for fancy occasions, and red aprons with and without belts for less fancy occasions. The color of waist and the choice of headgear also indicate whether you are married or unmarried.
