The Numedals bunad was presented in 1938. The embroideries for this bunad are based on garment parts and embroideries from the 18th century. Both a weekend bunad and an everyday bunad have been constructed for Øvre Numedal: The public holiday bunad has black, green or blue stitching and corresponding waist.
