The waist piece for the Samnanger bunad is made in green or red velvet or damask. The waist piece is edged with hand-woven rose ribbons. The skirt is made from black fabric and is decorated with rows of black velvet ribbons. The chest cloth and belt are often embroidered with pearls. Shirts and aprons are white. Headdress and coat are also used for the bunad.
