Tysnesbunad lady
The bunad silver you need is:
- Cufflinks
- Neck button/neck pin
- Glibb brooch
- Belt buckle
- Gold-plated silver plaques and bore pins can also be used on the belt if you wish
- Shoe buckles, bunad rings and earrings complete the bunad
As elsewhere in Sunnhordaland, there have been major variations in national costume with local variations of the Hardanger bunad. Married women wear green, while the unmarried wear red. A sleeved shirt is also worn underneath the waist piece on cold days and the color for married women is red, while unmarried women wear a green sleeved shirt. There is also a "Laske" coat that is worn on top of the waist piece. The skirt is made of black fabric, while the chest piece and belt are often embroidered with pearls. The shirt and apron are white. A head piece is also used for the bunad.
