For many years, the bunad tradition in Voss has been very strong and the variations on shirt, apron, belt and cloth often had a personal touch. Today, the variations are not so great, but there is still a distinction between married and unmarried women. Unmarried women do not wear headgear and the shirt has white stitching. The skirt has three narrow velvet ribbons at the bottom and only one buckle is used on the pearl belt. The bunad has a white apron.
