Aust-Agderbunad (Åmli) men
The bunad silver and silver buttons you need are:
- Neck button/neck ring
- Horn ring
- Cufflinks
- 27 or 33 silver buttons (if you are wearing long trousers, you will need 27 silver buttons, if you are wearing knee-length trousers, you will need 33 silver buttons - this is the total number of buttons). Often 10 small and the rest large.
- 2 lok buttons for the flap in the trousers
- Shoe buckles, a knife and a watch with a watch chain complete the bunad
One model of the men's bunad, the gray jersey, is partially reconstructed from old costumes from the early 1800s.
The newer model, as shown in the picture, started out as a folk costume around 1920 and later became a bunad.
Both short and long trousers are used for the bunad.
