Vest-Agderbunad lady
The bunad silver you need is:
- Neck button and/or a small ripple ring (called a sprode in southern Norway)
- Heart brooch
- Dish Brooch
- Bol brooch (you can use up to 4 brooches on the shirt)
- Cufflinks
- Fasteners for waist (vest)
- Shawl attachment
- Lacing bands and eyelet bands
- 3 cloudberry buttons
- Purse frame
The color of the silver was traditionally light silver, possibly with gilded dishes on the heart brooches. But there is no law or rule that says it has to be this way, so some people like to have the silver oxidized, which means it is a little dark at the bottom of the pattern, because they think it makes the cleaning job easier. Take your pick. Everything contributes to making your bunad unique.
